Education

Education has always been just as important to us as the finished product. We love teaching beginners and making silversmithing feel approachable rather than intimidating.

This is a behind the scenes look at siblings that silversmith. We share real experiences with jewelry tools, techniques, tips, trends, and product reviews to help beginners avoid the mistakes we made when we first started as jewelers 6 years ago. Giving you a closer look at the silversmithing process and the detail that goes into making handmade silver jewelry.

Understanding how jewelry is made helps you appreciate it more. We share simple explanations of traditional silversmithing techniques how custom silver jewelry is designed and what separates handmade work from mass produced jewelry. Silversmithing can be overwhelming, out goal is to educate and simplify making jewelry.

About Us

I need to write a bio for my website main page. here is what I have for my about us page. Our Story
West + Wilde is a family run silversmithing studio built around our passions, making wearable art. We are siblings who bonded over creating together. Making has always been part of how we connect.

In 2020 Lottie began exploring silversmithing as a hobby with no expectations. Early on we were fortunate to be mentored by a silversmith with over forty years of experience who taught us the foundations of silversmithing. What started as curiosity, quickly became a personality trait.

As the work grew Spencer began working within West + Wilde it's become something we built side by side. We started small at local farmers markets selling handmade silver jewelry and teaching beginner workshops. Talking with customers face to face, teaching people how to make jewelry, and learning how to run a small business from the ground up so been so rewarding and a huge blessing.

Every piece we make is designed and created in our studio using traditional techniques. We work primarily work with sterling silver, natural gemstones. West + Wilde is not about perfection, It is about learning as we go and building something meaningful with our hands.
